Our large 12kg powder fire extinguisher is the perfect option for vehicles over 7.5 tonnes which require these, as well as vehicles carrying dangerous goods to comply with ADR regulations. Part of the renowned FireChief range, the powder extinguisher has all the approvals you expect, including the BSI Kitemark, CE Mark, BE EN3 and MED Approval, and 5-year warranty as standard.

Suitable for use on Class A, B and C fires as well as passing the 35Kv Dielectric testing with 55A 233B C fire rating, the 12kg powder fire extinguisher has easy squeeze grip operation and supplied with a J bracket for wall fixing.

The updated British Standard 5306-8:2012 Selection and positioning of portable fire extinguishers – Code of Practice states as follows.

"5.4.3 Use of powder extinguishers The discharge of a powder extinguisher within buildings can cause a sudden reduction of visibility and can also impair breathing, which could temporarily jeopardize escape, rescue or other emergency action. For this reason, powder extinguishers should generally not be specified for use indoors, unless mitigated by a health and safety risk assessment."
